The Areas of My Expertise by John Hodgman, a very silly book that is much like an almanac except everything in it is made up, is one of my favorite books. You may purchase it here.
Playing The Moldovans at Tennis by Tony Hawks, a nonfiction travel book in which the narrator takes a bar bet to play tennis against all of the Moldovan football [soccer] team (first obstacle: where is Moldova again?) is another of my favorite books. You may purchase it here.

| Yanichka is the sort of person who likes it when guys say "What's that?" instead of "What?" when they missed what you said. She looks up to see what the sky is like every day. Also, Yanichka likes harmonizing with songs on the radio and knows lots of lyrics to lots of songs. |
